Xun mao ji
This book tells the story of how a group of clever mice saved a poor cat. A long time ago, on the top of a hillside, there stood an old windmill. When the mill was first built, it was a beautiful building, but the miller was a stingy and grumpy man who never paid a penny for the repair and maintenance of the mill. There is another thing that makes the miller particularly unhappy: the infestation of rats. So he bought a cat and wanted to use the cat to deal with the mice. But these mice were so smart that the cat couldn't catch any of them, so he could only suffer mistreatment from the miller. The mice couldn't stand it anymore and decided to find a way to save the poor cat.
