This book is the story of Lang Zhili, the inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage Beijing Noodle Renlang, and her father Lang Shaoan, two generations of Beijing craftsmen over more than 100 years (from the late Qing Dynasty to the present). The style of this book is different from oral records in the general sense. The source of the content is composed of three parts: the oral accounts of Lang Zhili and Chen Yongchang (interviews by the author) + the oral records of Lang Shaoan before his death (provided by the Lang family, children and others Interview records of people) + relevant newspapers, periodicals and books (searched by the author). There are 5 appendices after the main text, including "Memorial Events of Mian Renlang", "Mian Ren'er Xiao Chunqiu" (the origin and development of Mian Ren from ancient times to the present, chronological style), "Mian Ren'er's childhood records" (spring, summer, autumn and winter of the year).
